Concrete & Porcelain Patios in Suffolk County

A patio is where your backyard actually gets used: morning coffee, summer dinners, a fire on a cool fall night. Masoncrete Builders builds both poured concrete patios and large-format porcelain paver patios, and many of the photos on this page are from our own recent backyard projects.

One customer, Kosha Shah, put it this way: "I had a vision but they took that vision and made it 100x better."

Porcelain paver patios

Large-format porcelain pavers have become one of the most requested patio surfaces we install. They give a clean, modern look, the big slabs mean fewer joints, and a contrasting charcoal border frames the space. Porcelain is laid over a properly excavated and compacted base, and we plan the layout so cuts land where you will not notice them and transitions to walkways and steps line up.

Poured concrete patios

A broom-finished concrete patio is a durable, practical surface. Crisp control joints divide the slab into clean sections, creating a visual rhythm as well as controlling cracking. For more detail, concrete can be stamped in stone or slate patterns, or bordered.

Building the whole outdoor space

Patios rarely stand alone. We regularly combine a patio with walkways, steps down from a deck or back door, retaining or seat walls, stone veneer, and fire features and lighting. Planning them together gets the levels, drainage and finishes right.

  4. Install: porcelain or pavers set to layout, or concrete formed, poured and finished.
  5. Borders, steps and finishing details, then cleanup and care instructions.
