Concrete Foundations, Slabs & Block Work
Everything above depends on what is below. Masoncrete Builders pours foundations, garage slabs, shed and equipment pads, and builds concrete block walls for residential and commercial projects.
Our original description still applies: our concrete foundations service provides durable, high-quality solutions that ensure the longevity and stability of your property. Customer Urszula Wagner Stojek hired us "to pour foundation for garage," and Kristina hired us "to pour foundation as well as to install pavers for a patio and sidewalk."
Foundation and slab work
- Garage foundations and garage floor slabs
- Addition and extension foundations
- Backyard slabs and pads for sheds, equipment or hot tubs
- Commercial slabs and walkways
Block wall construction and reconstruction
We also build with concrete masonry units (block). Our Instagram followers saw a recent commercial project on Long Island: a full wall demolition and reconstruction at a loading dock, with new block walls laid course by course, openings formed and new block tied into the existing structure. Photos from that job are below and in the gallery.
How we pour a slab
- Layout and excavation to the required depth.
- Compacted stone base.
- Forms set square and level (or to the required pitch).
- Reinforcement placed.
- Pour, screed and finish, with tight, clean edges.
- Cure properly. Patience at this stage is what produces a strong slab.
